KAYLA & JOSH | MORRINSVILLE
We simply just can’t go past a wedding held on a couples (or even a family members) property! We love how personalised you can make your big day, and Kayla and Josh did just that! Bringing their beautiful property in Morrinsville to life Kayla and Josh made sure that they had their day “EXACTLY their way”.
Where did you purchase your dress and accessories from:
Madison Rose Bridal.
Where did you find your inspiration for your wedding day:
Pinterest and looking on all the hire websites and the FB wedding page.
Our wedding style was:
Good question, I had bit of everything but rustic was probably the main one.
We saved on:
Venue was the only thing probably having it at our place.
Our love story began:
We were relief milking together one weekend and a couple of months later got in touch and the rest is history.
We splurged on:
The band, food and alcohol
Tell us about your venue and why did you choose it:
We got married on our property, we had plenty of space, a big shed for the reception and meant we could have the day exactly our way.
What were the highlights on the day:
Seeing my husband at the end of the aisle, seeing what we created through all our planning and the band.
Tell us about the proposal:
We had not long purchased our land and it was a long weekend, Josh had it planned for months, designing the ring, the getaway etc and I was oblivious. We had finished the day doing a fence down our driveway and once our friend had left he dropped down to one knew and proposed, he had a Queenstown getaway planned for the next day.
Do you have any tips for other brides & grooms?
Do whatever you want, its your day and take the time to plan it as your thoughts change along the way.
